ADVANTAGES OF 4KS

Unlike other locking systems, the patented 4KS system features springless technology.

In the 4KS system, the locking elements are moved into the 4KS cylinder by curve milling of the key. 12 very strong, springless locking pins are brought into certain positions by the forced control of the 6 key bends and interrogated through 2 alignment pins. A control bar in the rotor controls the additional key coding. In all, 4KS keys are interrogated four times. Three times more than conventional systems for the highest possible security.

The 4KS cylinder features a modular structure (SYMO) and, therefore, can be adapted directly on site to the respective door situation. It is also possible to modify the 4KS cylinder on-site so that it fulfills a certain function (e.g., so that it can be operated with the key inserted on both sides). This saves time and costs.

Anti-picking and anti-pondering protection

The 4KS cylinder is equipped with multiple locking pins.

It is not possible to identify which locking pin acts in the specific case. Due to the moving position of the locking elements in the rotor, it is almost impossible to probe the appearance of the milled surface in order to create a duplicate.
